This is the core equipment I use. I am pretty much satisfied with my Nikon. It has a nice feel to it and is well balanced. Especially when using the battery grip.

The weird looking cable is actually the remote control cable used by the vertical shutter button since the D70 models don't have any battery-slot contacts for vertical shutter operation.
